The Barahi Hospitality and Leisure has believed in Eco friendly practices. The Barahi Jungle Lodge has been ranked by TOFTiger as outstanding for it’s efforts in maintaining healthy Eco practice. However for us it is an ongoing effort.

We believe in giving back what we take from the nature and local community. In a bid to support the local community , The Barahi Jungle Lodge purchases the raw food products from the nearby villages and 97 percent of our staffs are local and trained to a high standard of perfection.

We have planted trees and minimized the use of plastic. We have also been instrumental in running cleaning drives in hand with the local villagers , helped schools and supported tree plantations. The village schools have been helped by ways of donation and arrangements for clean drinking water for the students.

Our mother property in Pokhara also carries out a lot of CSR activities. We conduct a lake cleaning program from time to time. We also take on charity programs. For instance, we conducted a children’s charity event this christmas as well. As for the eco-friendly practices, we have gradually started using glass bottles and have minimized the use of plastics in our operation.

For guests who are interested in participating in one of our social activities like a visit to the School for an interaction with students and teachers or tree plantations can inform us in advance. We can fit in their request if the school is open or we have a plantation drive at that time.
