There are a number of sights steeped in religious history that are worthy of a visit while you are in Pokhara. You can plan to incorporate a number of them into a full day of sightseeing. Commune with Nature
For the nature lover, Pokhara and the surrounding hills have much to offer. There are many fabulous day hikes that can be done, particularly convenient from Sarangkot Mountain Lodge with the forest on its doorstep. We can customize a bird and butterfly watching tour with a resident naturalist and expert on the over 400 species of local birds in the local forest. Another fun way of soaking up nature is on a pony ride, or for a more active day out, you can take out bicycles and cycle along the ridge of Sarangkot. If you are staying in Lakeside, we can organise your day trip including transportation, guide and lunch.
Thrill seekers are in the right place as Pokhara has a number of fun-filled activities for the strong of heart. Fly high above Lakeside and the nearby mountains to experience breathtaking views of Annapurna, either paragliding or on an ultralight flight. Jump into the unknown and fly through the air on a zipline from Sarangkot down to the bottom of the valley below, the world’s steepest zipline and one of the longest at nearly 2 kms. There’s also bungee jumping for another adrenaline rush.
