Hotel Barahi Kathmandu , the 5th hotel of the chain has now opened it’s doors to tourism in the capital. It is rated as a 4 Star Hotel and can be used as a transit stop between your visits to Pokhara and Chitwan.
LOCATION & ACTIVITY
The location of The Hotel Barahi Kathmandu is in the corner of Tri Devi Marg and Kantipath offering an access and view to both streets. The location offers an easy walkable distance to Thamel the main tourist hub and Durbar Marg the center for classy shopping and dining. The old city and the famous Durbar Square with it’s array of temples, a must visit for every tourists is a mere 30 minutes walk from the hotel.
ACCOMMODATION
The total capacity of Barahi Kathmandu is 80 rooms in a mixture of Deluxe, interconnecting and Junior suites.
Each room has it’s own en suite bathroom with amenities. The Deluxe rooms have cubicle shower and the Junior suites are equipped with bath tub.
All rooms have refrigerator, minibar, flat screen TV, safe deposit locker, bath robe, tea/coffee making arrangements and drinking water in reusable sterilized glass bottles. A special effort is taken by the management to lessen dependence on plastic.
DINING
One whole floor is dedicated to multi cuisine wining and dining and the complex overlooks the infinity pool. A private dining facility on the same floor, is also available for groups who prefer to have their meals separate.
The 9th floor lounge and bar offers a 360 degree view of Snow capped Himalayan peaks of Hiunchuli (7893 m) Ganesh Himal II (7150 m) and the surrounding hills of the Kathmandu Valley of Phulchowki, Shivapuri and Chandragiri on a clear day. A bird’s eye view of the Narayanhiti palace, Garden of Dreams and Keshar Library is also an unique experience in itself.
CONFERENCE FACILITY
The 8th floor of the property provides 2 halls. The larger one dedicated to MICE and a second one catering to small gatherings.
