    Trekking Sarangkot

Sarangkot Mountain Lodge is located on the mountain ridge opposite the glorious Annapurna mountain range. From here you can access many wonderful day hikes through the forest and past local villages to really experience a taste of trekking in the Himalayas.

We can coordinate a half day or full day hiking tour for groups of any size with a local guide and nature expert who can share local history, information about flora and fauna and the abundance of local birds who reside in the local forest. There are many routes to choose from and places of interest that can be incorporated into your trip depending on what is of most interest to you. We will organise transportation, where necessary, for longer trips that require a return vehicle. Packed lunch and water is included.

If you are staying in Lakeside at Hotel Barahi or Hotel Aabas, you can still enjoy these fabulous day treks. We will coordinate transporation and everything you need so you can just enjoy your day in nature.

It is best to wear neutral colored clothing and have sturdy walking shoes. Due to the undulating nature of the mountains, a moderate level of fitness is required. Sunglasses, a hat and hiking sticks are recommended.

    Examples of day hikes:

    • Hike to Australian Camp (full day with vehicle transfers to Kande and from Dhampus or Phedi)
