Fewa lake

It is the largest freshwater lake in the country after Rara and though stream fed the water is regulated through a dam. The 4.43 sq km lake is popular for boat rides.

Tal Barahi Temple

The temple located in the south east corner of Lake Fewa, on a small island is accessible only by boat. It is devoted to Lord Durga and as per the legend it was originally located above the lake. Kulmandan Shah The then king of Kaski constructed the temple on the island and moved the deity as per the instructions he had received in a dream

Peace Pagoda

Situated at a height of 1100 m on Anandu Hill there is a black top road access to the pagoda. For the adventurous the access can be crossing the Phewa by boat and then taking the one-hour steep hike to the Pagoda.

Devis Fall

The uniqueness of this waterfall is that it touches the ground and disappears as it forms an underground tunnel for about 500 ft and reappears again. In 1961 Swiss couples were swimming and the girl drowned. It was named David & fall after her but became Devi which sounded more Nepali. There is an underground Shiva temple called Gupteswore Mahadev through which the water passes

Mahendra Gufa and Bat Cave

Located in Batulechour this cave is a tourist attraction and is unique in the sense it is formed of Stalagmites and Stalactites. There is a Shiva temple inside the cave. Nearby in a forest is the BAT CAVE, which is a narrow cave inhabited by bats. The Bat Cave depicts a number of cave paintings

Museums

The two most popular museums are the Himalayan Mountaineering Museum which displays mountaineering artifacts & Annapurna butterfly Museum which exhibits the Natural history and butterfly collection of the area

Begnas Lake

The second largest lake in the district after Fewa this freshwater lake is located in south eastern side of Pokhara valley. The lake is more quiet and serene due to lesser number of tourists visiting the place compared to Fewa.
